Need to Contact The Police? Here's How to Get the Right Help at the Right Time

Dear Resident,

We know that when something doesn't feel right, your instinct might be to call the police and we're here for you 24/7.

However, we're not always the most appropriate service to contact, especially when other agencies may be better placed to assist you quickly and effectively.

To help make sure you get the right support at the right time, Highgate Safer Neighbourhood Team has put together a simple Community Contact Leaflet.

This useful guide outlines the best ways to report different types of incidents and concerns, and signposts you to the most appropriate services when police attendance isn't required.

You'll find contact details for:

  • Local Policing Teams
  • Citizens Advice Camden
  • Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) support
  • Mental Health and wellbeing services
  • Local Authority (Camden Council) Departments
  • And more…
  • As always, your Safer Neighbourhood Team remains committed to keeping Highgate a safe and welcoming place for everyone.

📎 Please see the attached leaflet below for full details.

In an emergency, always call 999.
